Hello All !

I plan on cleaning off the infamous foglike deposit on the inside of the corrector plate on my old-school black C8. It can be bothersome at highish magnification on the planets. I was hoping the 2mm sized Allen that I use for collimation would fit the (even tinier) Allen head screws of the Corrector mounting ring.

I'm not even sure if Allen wrenches that tiny (less than 2mm) would be available at our local hardwares. So before I order one, would anyone know if there in fact is a standard size to fit the Allen head screws ?  Thank You.

Patrick

Probably 1/16 inch. The old C8's used English unit hardware. 1/16" ~= 1.59 mm

Ok thanks Chip. I at least have an idea what range of sizes to order.
