The OTA is a GSO 12 RC. There are upgrade instructions for the OTA that involve 'glueing' the mirror to the cell. I do not see any clips that were common to my previous OTAs.

Is glue now the common way to attached a mirror to the cell? Is it worth disassembling the OTA to add clips.

Thanks in advance, Dan

Correction: "The mirror is held in place via the central bore and supported by the 9 point flotation cell."

I miss read the mounting description. There is a retaining ring that holds the mirror to the central bore.

There is a retaining ring that holds the mirror to the central bore.

In which case there is no need for clips.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
