I bought it from a guy that acquired it and had Rick Singmaster build a dob for it. I used it for about 15 years till a tree fell on it. It was a big light bucket that made seeing faint fuzzies easy but it wasn't sharp. Oh and it's 29.25 inches

Did the mirror survive?

Yes. It has a scratch on it. Two poles are bent, and one side of the rocker box is off. I would like to get the mirror refigured to a faster f ratio. So I don't have to climb a orchard ladder. Any ideas on who would refigure it? It is currently f4.5

My favorite was Stephans quintet and the deer lick group, ngc891 ect. Small faint dso's. I remember the first night I got it I trained it at m31 ( I could see it naked I) climbed up the ladder and looked with my 20mm nagler and there it was and it took about three field of views across and I am thinking that I was expecting more than this, did I do the right thing by buying this? Then I started moving it around and ran into a sea of white and dust lanes and realized I had been looking at m110.
