Hello,

Here are my best to date captures of Jupiter, with my C8 and very good conditions despite some condensation on the tube.

Let's start with color images taken with the QHY5III-224, 2X barlow and adc :

Between the second and the third, I switched for some mono captures with the QHY5III-290M :

Finally, a mix of mono and color captures (edited : better color layer)

Quite happy with the results !

Clear skies

Julien

Those are really, really excellent for an 8" aperture. I would be pretty happy with those images from my 10" or C11. I think I have to finally bite the bullet and pull the trigger on an ADC here pretty soon.

Thanks a lot ! For sure I was enthusiast behind the screen when capturing. I knew I would enjoy long hours of nice processing after what I was seeing live. An ADC is mandatory here as Jupiter stays below 30 degrees... It helps smile.gif Julien

Very nice images. I thought your second Jupiter was a little sharper than the first and your last one is excellent - and with a C8. Very well done and nice processing and colour.

Nice images, and the fact you got them with an 8-inch is even nicer still.waytogo.gif

Thanks to all for your comments, much appreciated.

The main factor here was a really cooperative sky !
