Visual, Astrophotography and EAA with a 4x Televue Powermate (2 inch). 3 cool live action demonstrations of the versatility of this powerful telescope tool in this short video. 12" Dob + Eq Platform. Have a nice weekend!

Good for visual. I have a 4x PM & a couple TAL 4x 1.25" Barlows.

With the PM, I put in my 48mm Brandon for a very good effective 12mm. Likewise my 40mm XW & 35mm Panoptic.

The TALs get used as well, for bino viewing with 40mm Plossls & 35mm Baader Eudiascopics or 32mm Plossls.

I now have all TV Powermates except the 2X which I plan to obtain in the near future.

So far I’ve only used the 2.5X and 5X. My 4X PM was obtained recently, and I’ve not yet tried it.

The performance and versatility of my 5X PM in particular has offered substantial benefits for my observing needs.

I’m hopeful my 4X PM will prove as useful and effective with my longer FL 2-inch eyepieces as my 5X PM has been with my 1.25X eyepieces.

You're lucky to have almost all the collection. The fact that this 4x is 2" which is the only size i use and also that throws my f ratio to around f/20 with my cameras had big impact in my choice. I needed to choose just one because of budget and this was THE one. lol

A 4x is needed for Daystar Quark eyepieces I believe.

In my opinion, you’ve purchased the single most versatile Powermate model.

Good instructional video Sir!  Also a very nice amateur astronomy YouTube channel you have created.  I have subscribed waytogo.gif
