NGC 7331 is a spiral galaxy in Pegasus. It lies 49 million light years away, and 30,000 light years across.

Stephan's Quintet are the group of five galaxies at the left side of the frame. Four of the five galaxies are interacting, and will most likely merge.

Wonderful result Mike, framing is very good.

A big help is the field of view with the refractor, in my

case I did a 2 pane mosaic ( failed ) with the RC8. ( could

fit it in 1 pane probably )

Your colors and detail are great!

FWIW, here you can see my trial on this area: http://lammertus.epi...-V3-webpage.jpg

( only 1,5 hours per panel )

Thanks Mert! I like your image a lot! Did you image this from the dark site? Amazing for such short integration time.

Hi Mike,

Yes this was imaged from my favorite dark site, normally with aprox. SQM 20,2 values.
