The single frame PNG and TIF images that I capture for daytime testing are now only greyscale (no color). The only change was to upgrade to V 4.0.8138.0 since this started. Camera is the Player One Neptune-CII. I'm viewing with Debayer ON, same as always, and the single image files used to be in color.

I've looked through all the settings and can't seem to figure this out.

Best to pose your question in the SC forum: https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/

Thanks for the suggestion. I put up the question in the "Other Cameras" forum.

My vague recollection is you need to save them as uncompressed.

I'm pretty sure that the images that Sharpcap saves are not debayered.  I think option to debayer is just for the display

The response from the SharpCap forum was to use PIPP to restore the color. Which works fine but it still does not answer the mystery of why the PNG files were saving and opening in color before and not after my last upgrade. It's not a big deal but when something changes like this it's nice to know what happened. I'll just have to settle for the answer one of the system analysts told me back in the 90's when you can't explain a computer change . . . it's spores.
