Hi every boddy. I've just bught a Lunt 40mm with B600 diagonal. I'm carafully falowing the steps to achive a result but always get the fussy red spot in the viewer, even if I change the 11/21mm Orion zoom bye a 17mm Helycon eyepeace.

Danny suggestion ?

Hi,

Use a simple, long focal length eyepiece, like 20~25mm plossl. Then twist through the entire focus range on the helical and move the blocking filter diagonal in/out as needed to explore the entire potential range of back focus until there's a sharp limbed sphere (then tune it via the tilt on the front objective).

Very best,

Have you adjusted the focus and then adjusted the tilt tuner ?

Maybe you have to pull out the blocking filter 1/2" or so to come into focus.

Thank you gises and specily Cosmos ;-) I tried the in/out of diagonal and whit mooving it I foud out that the illingment viewer was missalign and insted of 20mm I only needed 9mm taking out the diagonal. Great!!! I finaly saw the Sun Shining ;-)

Lunt specifically warns against using the Lunt 40 without the blocking filter (the diagonal). Be careful!
