Hi all,

Pretty simple query.

If you look at the image i posted, i know i can unscrew the blue bit, but that tube doesnt fit any of my adapters, barlow tubes or anything else, and neither do any of them fit/screw into the hole left in the prism block.

Looking up online, it seems that the straight through finder of this type CAN be unscrewed and modified as i wish, but i just cant seem to unscrew the blue part on mine in order to remove the red circled bit.

I figured id ask you fine folk before i attempt it again with more force..

I mean, if it doesnt come off, ill just use some gaffer tape, but thats not ideal lol.gif

Thanks in advance

The entire diagonal and EP assembly does unscrew from the main tube. The tube has SCT female threads, 2" x24.

I purchased an SCT to T-2 (M42x0.75) adapter and a couple of T-2 extension rings to make mine into a guide scope.

Good to know. So I just need to twist a bit harder I guess!

Cheers

You may need to add some considerable extension if you replace that with a mini guide camera.   Just FYI.

Yeah, I assumed I would to be honest that's fine. I'm just experimenting with my options really.

Thanks again
