So I finally got around to using an old microscope camera I had lying around. I find myself shooting at f28 with a 4x barlow on my 714mm focal length LS100MT-DS. I really need 7.6um to get critical sampling but have not found a camera with that large of pixels. This Optronics Quantfire 4kx4k @5fps camera has 7.4um I think. Much closer to critical sampling than the 3.8um ASI1600. I was doing about 1 or 2 minute captures grabbing 300-500 frames. The images really turned out pretty good. I stacked in AS!3 and finished it off with some deconvolution and unsharp mask in IMPPG, PS to turn into a JPG at 7 quality yielding a 325Kb image. I will compare with the shots I did using the ASI1600mm tomorrow. But here is one I quickly processed and wanted to present.
