Hi folks,

I am installing a Backyard Observatories roll-off roof system.   Unfortunately, one of the limit switches is broken.  It's an Omron V-15G5-1C25-K.  It appears to be out of stock everywhere.  I don't want to operate without replacing it.  Would anyone know of another source or keep an extra or two on hand for their system?  I've tried to get in touch with BYO but have not been able to reach them.

Thanks very much,

Walt Cooney

Thanks for your reply.  Grainger has lots of Omron limit switches in stock but not this model from what I can find.

You can use any safety limit switch.. OMRON went out of business and was bought out is my understanding; you just need to search for safety limit switch and you'll find a bunch of different options.

This one says they'll be available in 2 days..

Good luck,

Chris

Thanks Chris.  The nice thing about using the specific Omron model is that I can swap it with the broken one without any modifications to the system.  I found one on NextWarehouse.com today for the low low price of $20.98 (after shipping and handling).  It's only a few dollar part elsewhere, but they have them in stock so one is on the way.

Buy two. Spares are always a good thing.
