Just wondering if anyone has any experience using mirror/reflex lenses for AP. I've used a Sigma 600mm F/8 for daytime photography and noticed it's relatively soft for daytime photography even if focused well, but I like the idea of having a small cassegrain-type lens for semi-deep sky AP. Plenty of people seem to use these lenses for auto-guiding exclusively

I've seen cat lenses ranging from 300mm to 1000+mm

Yep, but not anymore :p

I'm sure there are good ones that are suitable, but most of them, just simply are not that great.  Sure fun though :)
