Hi all,

Polar aligning my GEM45 is generally pretty easy, but making fine adjustment with the little azimuth knobs is kind of tricky and it's easy to overshoot/overcorrect (I use Sharpcap for polar aligning, btw, never tried iPolar). One thing I've realized is that dialing polar alignment on nights with bad seeing is tough, but I was thinking more about manual/mechanical fixes to the system.

Anyone have any handy/easy suggestions they've tried and would care to share?

What i do with my PoleMaster.  Get things close with the az screws set at a small amount of drag, tighten things up by selectively tightening the screws.
