That NTK is in such good condition, and that JSO is rare too!

Or, perhaps a can of Keystone Light.  No offense to the Molson Coors Beverage Company.

TASCO 10-TE TELESCOPE 1960's - $675 (Erie)

https://erie.craigsl...7398158141.html

10te-5?  RAO.  Looks pretty complete (?) and overpriced (.)

(not sure if this belongs here, but where else would it go, and... anyways)

17.5" Truss Tube Dobsonian Telescope - $1,000 (Fairfax) [(near Wash D.C.)]

$675 is way too much for .965 od stuff. Maybe $350.

Celestron SP-C6 6" f/5 newt made by Vixen.

https://www.cloudyni...-newtonian-ota/

I tried to buy one of these in Michigan a month ago and the seller never responded to my message asking for photos. It's close to my daughter's house, so she could pick it up for me.  ???  Here's that one, ad still active:  https://www.cloudyni...-w-vixen-mount/  Oh well.

Indeed, those are junk.  Also not classic, it's a currently shipping model.

$375 is too much for just an OTA.

$200 is probably a nice deal since it says the mount has drives. The mount alone could be worth that if the drives are factory DM controlled.

Yep.  A Vixen SP with drives and controller was more than half the attraction of that one for me.  An interesting OTA was a bonus.

I can see 150 to 200 for just a OTA for a C6.

The Tasco was posted here just a short time ago.  And I said it was about 3x too much.  Not surprised it didn't sell, and I'm sure it will get posted again. smile.gif

This seems like it may be a scam as it seems like a lot of scope for little money but someone maybe should check this one out if you are in the DC area.

Could be legit - it's built around a Coulter 17" Pyrex mirror, so it's not like it's an Obsession. $1000 is a good deal if the optics are decent. Think of it as buying a nice set of mechanics for a truss Dob, while taking your chances on the mirror, and it's probably in the right ballpark.

Maybe I'm too wary, but the poster's "cryptocurrency ok" blurb raises a few uh-ohs for me. Hey, if it is pick up before paying, then I suppose it's okay.

Pretty common these days. What concerns me far more is the fact that the focuser is directly attached to the Kydex.

As far as I know, you cannot convert cryptocurrency to USD anywhere.
