Yep. I kinda always wanted one. I watch most of the SGW ones and for about the last year they've all been bid up pretty high.

As far as I know, you cannot convert cryptocurrency to USD anywhere.
Bitcoin trades. There’s a ready market. You just sell it like gold, silver, whatever.

Wow! The mount & pedestal are worth more than $80. I had just the OTA, and enjoyed it as an RFT (wasn't into DSO imaging). Now, I'd like to have that mount...

The Atco seems to have a name on the object that ends in "KOR"? Anyone have an idea what the rest of the name is? I also noticed that it has a 4-screw focuser housing, like the Asahi Pentax's had. Any ideas on the maker and age?

1990 is sort of vintage i guess... what would you do with this thing if you owned it besides sell it?

This "NASA" stuff shows up in a major way like this about once a year but the average varies.
I feel this stuff has already been deemed worthless and occupying space by previous owners, thus sold at auction. You can bet that some sort of research was done into value and selling through a classified before going to an auction. It looks like its stored in a garage or storage unit. The current seller is already starting to offer HYPE and Glory because they found themselves stuck with something worthless and occupying space. It is interesting (not so much now) but not the sort of thing that rings for this forum in my opinion. Some quick banter and off with its head.
Of course I could be wrong about these type items and it just might have great options or parts for a decent sized market. I have my doubts. YMMV, go for it.
He wants $6,000,000.00 and it has NO visible light primary optics.

Antares 120mm f/8.3 achro refractor for bargain price.
These scopes were from the mid-1990s and I believe have very good objective lenses.
Magnesium fluorite single-layer coated.

Half of one moon pad foot is broken off. Buyer best check the integrity of the legs for cracks or other concerns. The foot pad may have been cut for some reason, it looks like a clean 'break'.
This is a good RV-8 for preservation. The accessories are all correct with the extra weight, dec control, tray, etc. It has the correct cast DEC housing for the 8" and I believe all the 8" were supposed to have the moon pad legs as well. Nice price for the hard to find. The mount is completely maxed out for load but useable. Experience with hand dampening will help. Some will consider it under mounted.

I am soooooooooo happy that it is in Michigan! That will keep the old man from buying up yet another project that will sit in limbo forever! ARRRRRGH!!! However, it is a rather rare item so someone should grab it and give it a full restoration. Just not us! LOL

Vintage Optical Craftsman 12 inch scope. $4,500. I think the seller does not know much about scopes.
That could be a sweet scope. I can't remember the last time I saw an OC 12.5" for sale. Price is very high, though, as it appears the mount is the 1.5" shaft mount.
Edited to correct: The 12.5" and 16" Connoisseurs had 2" shafts and 6" thrust surfaces, so the price, though it still seems high, might not be too far off, depending on the condition of the optics and included accessories.

That telescope in NOT worth anywhere near that price. I bought an O.C 12.5" complete on the 2" mount a couple of years ago or so. I sold the mount with a 64 pound Tinsley 12" F16 OTA, the buyer of the mount recently contacted me and then bought the OTA (about a month ago). My price to buy it all, as well as the total selling price for mount and OTA are around $1000 for functional condition. The mount and OTA were both in need of TLC and some refurbish but functional as was. A refurbished unit that works and looks nice should be closer to a $2000 dollar figure. A total restoration is the only way to get over 2K. With a total restoration the value can vary by buyer/seller desires. However, I don't see a $4,500 price totally restored unless exceptional accessories or Custom Concourse grade work has included.
Some of the above is my opinion, but my buying and selling prices are accurately stated and dealt with knowledgable people.
ASIDE from the above, I think the posted scope is a 10" with a 12" tube and 1.5" shaft mount. I have difficulty scaling pictures in my head now, so other esitmates of size are welcome. I no longer have the scope to compare details, but I'm sure my pier was much shorter and bigger diameter, and the legs more massive. The 2" was simply insane for size and bulk.
