Half of one moon pad foot is broken off. Buyer best check the integrity of the legs for cracks or other concerns. The foot pad may have been cut for some reason, it looks like a clean 'break'. 

This is a good RV-8 for preservation. The accessories are all correct with the extra weight, dec control, tray, etc. It has the correct cast DEC housing for the 8" and I believe all the 8" were supposed to have the moon pad legs as well.  Nice price for the hard to find. The mount is completely maxed out for load but useable. Experience with hand dampening will help. Some will consider it under mounted.

Mine was a killer on optics but a bigger boat is needed for the OTA.

That could be a sweet scope.  I can't remember the last time I saw an OC 12.5" for sale.  Price is very high, though, as it appears the mount is the 1.5" shaft mount.  

 

Edited to correct:  The 12.5" and 16" Connoisseurs had 2" shafts and 6" thrust surfaces, so the price, though it still seems high, might not be too far off, depending on the condition of the optics and included accessories.

Cali like always. Mount looks like a 1.5" shaft deal. Way too much. $1500 i can see and 2k if it was a bigger mount.

IIRC always speculated to utilize vixen objectives...but never ever saw proof of that claim.

It sure looks like a Synta objective cell. And it says 120mm. It looks to me like an older blue Synta 120mm x 1000. I thought the old Antares were 127mm?

Edit: these are the 5” Antares refractors that I remember. They were 127mm x 1220mm Fraunhofer achromats and were purportedly excellent.

Looks a lot like the tripod and mount for my 76.2 Mayflower 816. Missing the Dec axis. A bit spendy for something incomplete, but maybe someone needs the parts, or is dedicated to saving scope tripods from the fate of lamphood.

I got one of those objectives in the 1990s.  New for a measly $149.00.  Diffraction image was textbook and it sported the same Newton rings typically seen in some Vixen objectives (the 80mms and 100mm objectives the Celestron SP scopes had in the 1980s and 90s).

The mount is missing.  The rest of parts are nothing special.  The OTA is very nice, it's the APL version of my Mayflower 814.  It will take a Vixen 1.25" visual back.

That telescope in NOT worth anywhere near that price. I bought an O.C 12.5" complete on the 2" mount a couple of years ago or so. I sold the mount with a 64 pound Tinsley 12" F16 OTA, the buyer of the mount recently contacted me and then bought the OTA (about a month ago).  My price to buy it all, as well as the total selling price for mount and OTA are around $1000 for functional condition.  The mount and OTA were both in need of TLC and some refurbish but functional as was. A refurbished unit that works and looks nice should be closer to a $2000 dollar figure. A total restoration is the only way to get over 2K. With a total restoration the value can vary by buyer/seller desires. However, I don't see a $4,500 price totally restored unless exceptional accessories or Custom Concourse grade work has included.   

 

Some of the above is my opinion, but my buying and selling prices are accurately stated and dealt with knowledgable people. 

 

ASIDE from the above, I think the posted scope is a 10" with a 12" tube and 1.5" shaft mount. I have difficulty scaling pictures in my head now, so other esitmates of size are welcome. I no longer have the scope to compare details, but I'm sure my pier was much shorter and bigger diameter, and the legs more massive. The 2" was simply insane for size and bulk.

Upshot seems to be, if you want an 105 Mak from Synta, you found it!  No idea what that controller is for, I couldn't tell if it actually belongs with the scope or not.

This Coulter Odyssey 13.1 seems to be in great shape, and although it is in nearly original condition, there are much better ways out there to spend $600. I am not sure if there is value in preserving these in original condition, but the pictures of the blade spider, RTVed sandwich mount, and small altitude bearings, even if they are original, make me cringe

Somebody somewhere keeping one in original condition is cool, and a good thing, but it's still not worth that price because it's a good candidate.

Coulter 13.1, a little sad that they think it's a toy - I'm picking one up tomorrow for myself again, they are nice scopes provided you either luck out on the optics or learn to understand their limits.
