I think it's not a Unitron Goto? Or really early?

Not familiar with those legs

It’s definitely a Unitron- an early model 152. Overall nice condition too. Ad says accessories as well even tho not shown.

This is a pretty rough 8 inch Criterion SCT near Phoenix. No way is it worth $499. The tripod and wedge are included, though, and seem to be in better shape than the rest of the scope, but that isn’t saying much. I suppose if someone needs an optical component, you may be able to bargain them down. Of interest, but seemingly applicable to nothing pertinent, is the SKU label on the base.

What a basket case.  $50?

$1.25, reversed bidding and realistic.  The Golden tripod should have gold anodized aluminum legs. Anodizing will wear off with daytime exposure and this one has ALL the anodizing completely gone. The corrosion on the rest of the mount speaks for the same neglect.

Criterion RV6 with motor drive near Colorado Springs. Looks complete and in fairly good shape. $275 may be a bit much though.

The posting has been deleted. Here are the pictures. I paid a premium but less than asking. This is a one owner factory original complete set except for an S-4 solar filter purchased about 2 years later.  Scope is very close to 1965 going by the shipping label on the S-4 box (shipped 1967). The original owner (seller) received it as a gift when a teenager. All in all Outstanding condition. Last used about 3 years ago for a Solar transit, and worked fine including the tracking, with the drive never touched. The clutch setting still feels excellent. The tube has no end chips but the finder bracket area has been nicely patched. Seller just cleaned the mirror - scared.gif .   Seller did a nice job on the mirror. He was sharp, delightful conversation, nice house, nice area, nice jag in the driveway, Very nice scope package, and thinning for an XC move.

I bought this because I recognized certain rare parts on it. Yeah, rare, as in only the second time I've seen them (I have the other set too).  Guess the parts. It's not as old as I had hoped. It's one of those factory medley things with true Dynascope parts. The OTA is full Dynascope with the frosty finish. It is a peculiar mix, a fun one for sure. More on this one later.

The special parts were instantly big in my eyes, and highlighted in one of the photos.

Meade 2045 in Wichita that looks like it’s never been removed from the packaging. More than I’d want to pay, though.

Zowie, just the OTA would fly out the door for $300 in the Denver area. Just the glass would probably fly for $300 nation wide, considering the general optical quality for Meade at the time.

Sorry to make some groan but that OTA would make a nice 'family' size dob. The young astronomers can oooooh and ahhhhhh, older ones can flex, a 12" that would fit in most cars, coma corrector for critical.

Wait, WAIT, Edit, is that a 10" OTA  (12" tube)?  Still not bad.

Meade 826 mount and pier legs.  I'd be buying the legs if Terra hadn't given me a set (I am about a week away from having a functional pier using them, will post in the vintage finds thread).

There's a NOS 16" in MI, more appropriately priced:

Tempting Tak Sky 90

Seems like it could be the ultimate grab and go RFT, a (relative) poor man's AP Stowaway, although this model apparently is at the bleeding edge of fast doublet technology and very sensitive to collimation problems.

Many are not collimated so i would never take a chance unless local. I would love to buy it but one Meade 7" ED not collimated was enough for me.

Yeah! You won't find another one in such bad shape! I've seen cars left in the woods for 50 years in better shape! Offers? How about he pays us to take it?! REALLY?! Some people are just beyond delusional! LOL

Royal Astro 76mm Orbit SCOPE in Maine.  OTA & mount, counterweight & EP tray probably missing.  No picture of objective.  Will take best offer.  Don't make me go save this.

Clean example of a Vixen D=80mm F=1200mm (f/15) refractor on original Vixen Polaris EQ mount with tall (but not extendable) wooden tripod legs, with accessory tray and a couple of 0.965" eyepieces but no 0.965" star diagonal --

https://zenmarket.jp...ode=k1009032249

Note that inexpensive Vixen 3720 adaptors are available (new, from retail stock) that attach to the 36mm drawtube (in place of the 0.965" fitting) and accept 1.25" eyepieces and/or diagonals.

- - - - -

Also listed on Zen-Market is this Vixen D=90mm F=1000mm (f/11) refractor on an alt-az mount with extenable wooden tripod legs, with tripod spreader tray and three 0.965" eyepieces plus star diagonal.

https://zenmarket.jp...ode=l1008932936

Same note applies regarding the Vixen 3720 adaptor.

Meade 2045 in Wichita that looks like it’s never been removed from the packaging. More than I’d want to pay, though.

IF it is in NOS (New Old Stock) condition, I'd take $300 cash, and offer it in person...  I was impressed by the VG Condition 2045 that I owned & tested.  Collimation was trickier than the orange 1976 C5, but held in routine use, and overall it delivered for a small SCT.

But Yeah!  For the typical 2045 on eBay similarly equipped, I'd stick with $250 + shipping...

On Topic...

Did anyone post this from Sean?  Tasco 7TE Motorized EQ Head + 7" Cradle:  https://www.cloudyni...t-head-w-drive/

Kenko KES-80 F15 EQ Kit IOB:  https://zenmarket.jp...ode=n1009836076

KES EQ includes the polar scope.  Mine was more robust than the Vixen Polaris.  Lens looks good.

ASTRO R-51 (50 F15) EQ Kit IOB:  https://zenmarket.jp...ode=j1009759641

Lens has serious coating degradation.  But as a VG Condition Display...

This one may be a repeat -- past no sale.  Not common to see these with that fine alignment mini-mount.
