Wow, way collectable with all the original boxes. Most likely a great addition to a matching scope, but can't really tell because of one thing.  No mention if they are 1.25 or 0.925 inch. I can't tell from the ad. It is a nice set for whichever size they are, maybe someone can confirm the barrels.

They're all .965"

Maybe i am drunk but that tube looks over size for a 12.5". My back says no while i say yes.

Well, you might be drunk, I wouldn't know, but the tube IS oversized. I don't know why, but Parks uses an 18" tube for their 16" Newts and a 15 7/8" tube for their 12.5" scopes.

The tube on my Parks 12.5" was about 16" OD.

Super cute Astro Optics R-51 on Zen.  Seller seems to be an actual amateur astronomer (would fit right in on this forum) and meticulosuly lists its faults.  However it still seems quite nice.  Currently bid at ~ $150, auction ends tomorrow AM, US time.

This Criterion Solar Prominance Filter is an interesting item both historically and technically:

https://www.cloudyni...minance-filter/

I was on the lookout for something like this some years ago, but I have both wide and narrow band H-alpha solar options already so I’m going to pass and pass the ad along. Don’t think I didn’t think about it. I hope someone here gets it and reports back.

Here’s an interesting thread about it:

Forgive me if this interesting old Zeiss terrestrial telescope has already been posted here. If so, I missed it:

It’s a nice piece that I would like but certainly don’t need.

Probably to reduce tube currents.

Ouch on that price. But does have some extra's. I would rather have a FS102 for around 1800 smackers.

Thank you for sharing that, I'd never heard of it before and its very interesting. I'm not ready to spend $500 for one, but definitely something I'll keep a look out for in the future.

For those looking to complete a project.

A lot of the missing pieces for  a ????

https://www.facebook...62698454609812/

and a Jason missing a lot of parts.

https://www.facebook...12210728869307/

It's that kind of day.

I'm seeing a lot of scam listings on FB marketplace again. LX90 for under $100... etc.  Click on them and there's no image or listing.

Poor guy lowered his price to $70.  This is a veteran astronomer with 64 years of experience who is just too old to deal with this scope.  Someone needs to go fawn over this nice scope hand him a $100 bill.  I would if it wasn't an 8 hour drive.
