This is an image of AR 2835 and AR2836, taken in white light and H-alpha spectrum.
White light image is taken with Baader ASTF 140 + TEC 140FL + TeleVue Powermate 4x + ZWO ASI 174MM. Granulation is nicely visible.
H-alpha image is taken with Baader D-ERF + TEC 140FL +Baader TZ-3 + Solar Spectrum RG38 0.5A + TeleVue Powermate 4X + ZWO ASI 174MM (11760mm focal length at f/104). White dots are Ellerman bombs. Image is a bit fuzzy due to strong jetstream and average seeing. But I wanted to do this comparison.
This two images shows main difference (except for different focal length and image size) between two filters used for solar observing. White light is seeing solar photosphere and H-alpha layer above, chromosphere.
