Family health reasons have me stuck in the city, a few hundred kms from my home and imaging place. To keep busy, I've been processing images from last galaxy season. For some reason - wanted more images etc - I didn't process them at the time. Here is NGC 4236. This galaxy is a Barred Spiral Galaxy in Draco, the Dragon. Its part of the M81 group but its not imaged nearly as much as M81 or M82. Its actually fairly big - 22.6' x 6.9' -  but its very faint. This makes it a more difficult object to image than its size would indicate. I've still fairly heavily cropped this image. Details on Astrobin. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

I’m loving the lesser known galaxies you’ve been posting lately.  Color came out really great!  Very nice image!.

It is dim indeed, I tried several times but never got it well enough!

Thanks Enance42 and Mert. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Yes, the blue came out easily but the rest was very very faint.

FWIW here is my version, 5.2 hrs with RC8

I believe this target could easily use another 5 or 10 hours

more to get the fainter outer arms better!

Nice Mert. I agree with more time maybe helping to bring out more detail. My image was also only a little more than 5 hours with an RC8.
