Sadly some of the people on this site have fallen for this bogus web site.  We need to have a Scam Forum so that sites like this can be listed to help people avoid falling for this.

That looks like Mariah Mitchel's telescope displayed at the Smithsonian.

The tube is similar, but that was made by Henry Fitz and is on a concrete pier.

but... but... I already I told my wife to park her car out on the road... so when the Hale Telescope arrives, the UPS guy can just place it in the driveway. When I get home... I'll just push it into the garage... to keep the rain off. I'm no fool.   Tom

Ironically, The infomercial demonstrates the indestructible nature of the Ginsu Knife by --- sawing a telescope in half!    Tom

Call now! Operators are standing by...and if you call in the next 10 minutes we'll throw in the Hubble Space Telescope absolutely free! But, of course, you'll have to provide your own transportation to the H.S.T. and find a way to adapt it for a 2" focuser to make it visual use compatible.

We suggest eyepieces with extremely loooonnnnggg eye-relief so that you can see the image while looking through your space helmet. Just don't let anyone from the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland find out what you're doing...let's keep it on the Down Low.

Even though it's high!! LOL!

I was never here and you never saw me. Sincerely yours, Mr. Nobody.
