Had a chance to get out this morning with my (new to me) William Optics Fluorostar 91mm, equipped with Lunt 2" wedge.  Sketch made ~1630-1645 UT using a 6mm eyepiece (90x) and a Baader continuum filter.

I used to sketch a lot, so am working to get some of my technique back...and this is a cell phone picture of the sketch...the original is nicer lol.gif

I am wondering about the AR that has come around the southeast limb - is this a return of AR 12880?  I find mixed information online...

Also - there is a small AR with 1 spot and some "spotlets" in the NE quadrant- I did not find an AR # for this, but looking at SDO images there is clearly some activity there...

Anyway, its good to be back in the game!

They change number anyway when they come in sight again. Very nice sketch!

AR2886 is in the center of the disk and AR2887 is on the side.

Great sketch Alan.
