Here is my first attempt with the Pelican Nebula - imaged on 10/19/21-10/20/21

 

 

 

Telescope: Svbony 102ED w/ 0.8 FR
Camera: Meade DSI IV
Exposure: Gain 14, 5 min/frame ~ 70 frames
Mount: Celestron CGX
Guiding: Svbony 30mm guidescope, ZWO ASI120MM-MINI
Filter: STC Astro Duo-Narrowband Filter
Software: DSS, SIRIL (no stretching), Affinity Photo, Topaz Denoise

Great image! May need to reduce the stars a bit but otherwise looking good!

Thanks. I am actually watching some videos to see how I can reduce the stars in GIMP and Affinity Photo. I’ll which is easier.

 

I am also trying out that StarNet++right now to see how it looks without stars. waytogo.gif

Thanks. I am actually watching some videos to see how I can reduce the stars in GIMP and Affinity Photo. I’ll which is easier.

 

I am also trying out that StarNet++right now to see how it looks without stars. waytogo.gif

Yeah, Starnet++ really helps. You can work separately on the DSO and the stars and then just combine the two images together.
