Hi all,

These are my first images of Uranus for the season, taken under superb seeing. The north polar region is well visible including in the V band (barely), just like the past years. There is not much change for the moment ; the planet is now inside the second half of its northern spring and the pole is 56° tilted toward the Sun. Will the aspect change in the coming years?

No details is detected in the blue band, yet the elliptical shape of the globe is well outlined.

Really nice work. good image scale and resolution. I am hoping to get a 16" SCT on Uranus and its moons soon as I get steady seeing.

Very noticeable banding in the red and ir channels

I didn't realize you are using a Skywatcher dob is this on an equatorial platform?

Really excellent, especially for a 12" scope. I might have to give it a go with my 11" one of these days.

Thanks Troyt, no I use it in altaz mode. WinJupos is performing field derotation for long videos like those. Much more simple than an equatorial platform :)
