I'm hoping someone with a Berlebach tripod that has either UNI or Report leg clamps can help me.  I'm needing to know the width & thickness of the tripod legs that fit these clamps (see attached pic).

One of the leg clamps on my non-Berlebach tripod has cracked and I'm seeking options for a replacement.   APM among others sells additional UNI & Report leg clamps that look like they could work, but I need to verify their dimensions.  Thanks!

Pete

On my Berlebach Planet, width is 5 inches, thickness is 1 3/8 inches. Good luck!

Hi Pete,

I have a Uni-18 and a Report 312. I’ll take the measurements later today and post them for you unless someone else has already.

Best and CS, Karl

Hi Pete,

I’m sorry it’s taken so long to get you the measurements. “I’m so busy that I don’t know if I’ve lost a horse or found a rope!” That old saying totally describes how my day was. lol.gif

Without further ado, here you go. The UNI legs are 70mm wide with a depth of 35mm. In inches it was fairly close to 2-3/4” wide with the depth being 1-3/8”.

The Report legs are 63mm wide and the depth is 20mm, or 2-1/2” by 3/4” depthwise.

I hope one of those two Berlebach clamps will work for you. FYI, there is the need to drill a blind hole in order for a  bushing to be recessed into the leg. The thumbscrew uses that bushing as a stop. If I remember correctly, there’s instructions on their website describing the procedure.
