My favorite cheap solution is what we call a banana chair. It is a beach or pool lounge chair that has three sections framed in steel tubing and upholstered in plastic tubing. The middle section has legs and sits on the ground, and the end sections click up so you can adjust your back anywhere from laying flat to pretty much sitting up. They are mostly made in China and found at discount stores. I bought one at WalMart for less the $10 to use at a star party and I was very happy with it. Not too heavy to carry, and much more comfortable than the ground.
A poolside lounge chair with arms has some advantages, but is much more expensive and less portable.

Also, depending on the time of year, the colder the air in the mattress got, the lower she sank.
The next chaise lounge I buy absolutely must have the arm supports.
