Any idea if an Optec Lepus 0.62X reducer will work with a 1900/127 Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope?
The Optec Lepus requires a 2-inch visual back, so a 1.25-inch to 2-inch adapter would need to be inserted between the 1.25-inch visual back and the 2-inch focal reducer. Not sure how that would work with a Canon APS-C DSLR camera (44 mm flange distance and sensor height of 14.9 mm). The image circle diameter for a 1900/127 MCT is presumably about 27 mm, so reducing by 0.5X might be too much as compared to 0.62X (for a 14.9-mm sensor size).
Any other suggestions for DSLR focal reduction with a 1900/127 MCT would be appreciated. For a 1540/127 MCT, I figure the Lepus 0.62X reducer would work better on the Sky-Watcher Skymax 127 since it already has a 2-inch visual back (unlike the Orion Apex 127 or Celestron C127).
