Heading to Southern California for the holidays. Thinking about a RedCat 51 with a Sony Nex-7. Use a ZWO 533 with 8” Celestron HD/Hyperstar. Need a portable solution. Can rent a mount.

Any suggestions?

Friends are just people that sell secrets about you during times of war :)

I don't know how available they would be to you, but I love the portability of my ASKAR FRA400 (If not the optics so much) and CEM26!

AT72EDII? I have mine packed up in an Apache 3800 case from Harbor Freight with a red dot finder and a few EPs for grab and go. You could fit the scope, EPs, a diagonal and a camera in the 4800 no problem with plenty of padding to not worry about checking it. I think the more difficult thing for travel would be a tripod.

EDIT: SOrry, just saw you're good renting a mount
