I placed an order with shopatsky for two books, "annal of deepsky 8" and "Astronomical Algorithms, 2nd Edition", order number is #1821.

But one week ago, when the package arrived, there is only one book "annal of deepsky 8" in it. I sent a few emails to ask, no reply.

Really bad shopping expierence, I am not in US and can not call them, if there is anyone from shopatsky, please help check my order.

Thanks.

Try this email info@skyandtelescope.org

They are going through changes (like Ozzy used to sing about).

If that's the email you had used, may have to call. Sounds like a few folks have been having some issues. Hopefully they get back to normal again soon.

Its probably just a stock issue.

Its often a good idea to send them an email before you place your order to check for stock levels. This sort of thing happens all the time. Your other book will likely show up later.
This is especially relevant now as for some reason everything is made in China.

Other than their power woes and "non existant virus", there is a shortage of shipping containers and prices per container have increased 7 fold. Well at least here in Australia

Understand the challenge they have now with the integration of all stock from WB.
Also, take into account that today is Thanksgiving in the US and many people take the week off.

My recent order was split into 4 shipments that came weeks apart. I'm sure the rest of your order will arrive soon.

Best regards!

Glad that V8 arrived.  :-)

The ShopAtSky.com site has some info about how to check order status at

https://shopatsky.co...ustomer-service

If you click 'contact us' on that page it tells you to email shopatsky@aas.org with any questions. So maybe try that? But like others here, we have had orders split into multiple shipments so stuff is arriving in different boxes at different times. It could very well be that your other book is in a different box on its way to you.

Good luck!

Any shopatsky staff here?

There are a few S&T guys that frequent the forums. You may try finding some of those old threads with them in it.

try this one for starters:

You did use this email address to try to contact them, correct?  Since AAS took over, many of the addresses associated with Sky & Telescope have changed.

shopatsky@aas.org
