I have looked all over the internet for a set of mounting rings for my ST80.  The ones I have found all seem too large or too small. I see ads for ST80 type scopes with rings included all over, but cant find the rings separately. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

 

By the way, not looking for rings setting me back $100 or more. The scope is barely worth that much on a good day.

Scopestuff has two 3.5" mounting rings (CR35) for Short Tube 80 scopes for $48.

The Orion ones are called 105mm ID guidescope mounting rings.

 Part Number 07370 for a 90 mm tube, but its not listed on their site. I don't know if  they don't have them  SO  they don't list them or if they no longer carry that size. Strange things happening over there lately.

I just ordered a pair of 90mm rings from Orion and it says they will fit the ST 80.

They will fit. The vast majority of the 80 mm refractors out there use 90 mm rings.

 

I've found I can actually use just a single standard 90 mm ring with an ST-80. Currently I'm using a single heavy duty ring, I'm not sure if it's William Optics or StellarVue, it's like a clamshell.

Yes, Orion part number 07370, and I paid $43.98 shipped.  I also ordered a n 8" dovetail and I paid something like $23.00 shipped for it.

 Orion's site isn't listing that  ring as In Stock , but the description lists the 90 mm astroview and ST 80  as fitting.

Geeze, I had no problem finding mine and I can't believe that I may have gotten the last set.  Also on the same day I was able to order an Orion VersaGo II mount and I know that I got the last one of those and the site now says that the VersaGo II is no longer available for purchase.  What luck.
