Reading through their "About Us" page, the copy seems to have been generated by a translation app.  And it just doesn't sound like the "About Us" page of other U.S. based websites (Astronomics, eyepiecesetc.com, StellarVue and so on....)

It just doesn't "feel" right.  I may be wrong, but people in business in the states are pretty good about answering the phone during posted business hours.  This bunch didn't answer my call either because the posted phone number is only 6 digits (1-833-7SCOPE).  I'd move on...

Now, if they call me back, doubtful, since I couldn't call because of the wrong number posted on the website,  or post a response on this thread, I'll be glad to retract my opinion.

While many big box hardware stores are great on price and convenience, they lack personal customer service and quality, expert assistance

This is most certainly a scam site that was built using a template. I guarantee you’ll find the exact same site being used in other industries if you Google search text in that About Us page.

Edit: yep, knew it. Here are two of MANY examples I found

833 Area Code is used for toll-free calls, which means that customers from any area of NANP, World Zone 1, can use 833 area code numbers.

NANP, World Zone 1 The North American Telecommunications System (NANP) is a World Zone 1 telephone counting system, depending on 25 different regions in 20 countries.

Although doing a whois lookup, it appears they operate out of Tempe Arizona. The website was established 2 years ago.

So maybe, maybe not a scam.

It's a dead site. I tried ordering an adapter from them a few months ago and there was zero activity. Luckily I used Amazon Pay and through Amazon I was able to claw my payment back from them. Avoid them.

While we're at it avoid Scope City, another dead zombie site.

Yep.  Looks like "Alex" and "Peter" and "Zach", depending on the site, spent a lot of time with their father's (20 years!) learning the "passion" of their chosen hustle.  This is too funny, except people are really getting screwed by these jokers!  What a sorry way to live!!!
