Hi together,

using catgen I have created some custom catalog of sky areas I already captured.

I got RA, DEC, width, height and rotation, all in decimal degrees.

I manage to create squares or circles with different sizes according to the objects largest dimension. In the object details width and height are correctly displayed. However beside squares and circles I can’t create rectangles drawn on the map with different width than height and rotation other than zero degrees.

anyone can help how to manage to draw rectangles instead of circles and squares only ?

maybe drawing of vertex like for nebulae outlines would be an option but I am not at all familiar with a creation of such.

thanks and kind regards,

Alex

Managed to find out how to draw rectangles in CdC with CatGen.

Ra_1st_point DEC_1st_point 0

Ra_2nd_point DEC_2nd_point 2

Ra_n_point DEC_n_point 2

Ra_last_point DEC_last_point 1 (same as first point) to have a closed rectangle.

the numbers are commands

0 = start

2 = draw, vertex

1 = end

:-)
