Started off the new year with a little coastal astrophotography since Comet Leonard was so low, and I needed an unobstructed west view. The winds were a killer however, but the Vixen AXD mount held up. The shot comprises of 38x 1min subs with the Takashi FSQ85ED & ASI6200MM Pro (Antlia Pro Lum filter) :-

Hi,AnackChan

So wonderful! Detailed picture is it!

Very interesting looking for some burst traces in the tail.

The west direction after sun down, I could not clearly see it as high north latitude site and snow.

Regards

Hiromu

Hi Hiromu-san,

あけましてもでとうございます!!

Even for me here, it's really low down. I setup around 7 p.m., (and sunsets approx 7:20 p.m. due to summer), so I only started imaging around 9:30 p.m. and it was 15deg. I believe the comet has dropped below the Earth's orbital plane.

It was a lucky capture. The last time I tried to capture Comet Lovejoy from Chiba (2015?), it was a difficult!!

Cheers!
