Hello,
A very sad case happened to me.
My MGen II camera broke. I did a basic diagnosis and it looks like the matrix/sensor was damaged.

Has anyone had such a case?
Has anyone tried to replace the matrix with another? I tried with few but it not works. Neither wanted to work with same model ICX279AL I've replaced. The MGen notice info is "wrong camera mode".

The producer does not support MGen II anymore, they did not reply to my correspondence.

Maybe the original camera could be replaced with another one? Anyone tried this?
I'm desperate. Looks like I can throw my guider in the trash.

If I posted in the wrong thread, I ask the admin to move it.

Regards

This is a land based (so to speak) sub-form, you should ask this specific question in the astro-photography thread for a better response...

Thank you for suggestion.

I've notified moderator and asked to move my topic to astro-photography thread.

Since this is dealing with equipment rather than astro, it is moved to Equip.

Just think of it as an excuse to get the MGEN III.
