I just received my ASIAir Plus and noticed I don't have a way to attach the ASI to my scope with the included dovetail mount.

Would a finder scope mount work for this? I don't currently have one on my Celestron 8SE so I'm not sure how to match one so that it fits with this included mounting bracket.

Included Bracket: https://telescopesca...iairpro-bracket

I'm looking at something like this provided that the screw spacing for mounting it to the OTA is correct: https://telescopesca...ovetail-bracket

I'm open to any other ideas that you guys have.

Thank you,

That looks like the one I got from Agena: https://agenaastro.c...nder-xfurb.html

I liked the slots as they give more flexibility.

I also found this red ZWO one later: https://www.highpoin...siair-pro-fs-ii

I’d be careful adding any weight to your 8SE. That mount is at its limit with just the OTA.

Agreed. I'm currently looking at new mounts but I'm taking my time. I likely wont use the ASIAir system until I get the new mount.

That's good to know about the black one. Its the most promising at the moment.

I looked at the red one initially, but the holes don't line up to the mount holes on my OTA, otherwise it would be perfect!

Some Velcro in the top of the mount should do. Just keep it off of the arm.

Moving from EAA to Equipment for a potentially better fit.
