Hello
I like to start asteroids and other small bodies imaging.
My first serious time was last night, with the pass of the very anticipated 1994 PC1.
I used a Meade LX200 12 inch classic, form 1993, with the mount totally refurbished in my garage.
My biggest surprise was the fact that the mount can track the asteroid all night, but not with the coordinates, but with the PHD2 guiding commanding the mount. I selected the asteroid like a guiding star and that's it. I was very surprised how well that old mount can track an object like this with this simple system.
I add two photos, one with the guiding locked in the stars, and the other locked in the asteroid. In the first, the asteroid looks like a trail. In the second, the trails are from the stars, similar to a comet stack. The other photo is showing how the guiding was working following the asteroid.
I made a video with the frames, this is the link.

Just waiting for suggestions and other ideas with similar mounts and systems.
Thanks!
