Hi Folks. Yesterday afternoon, observing the mount of the my old Celestar 8 I'veve decided to do a small modification. This is the result...
What do you think?

Piergiovanni,

What do I think ?

I think the photo would have come out better if you had put the mount and bino out in the sunlight :-)

Looks like a good modification too !

Regards , Kenny

Ah, a much better picture. That looks like a nice mod you made to the mount. Easy to do?

But how comfortable is it? Doesn't your neck hurt when viewing east or west because you need to tilt your head? How do you view north?????

It is nice to look at, but it seems it would be very hard to look through - except south. Or am I missing something?

How fast does it slew too? I would not like having to wait and wait for the binos to get where I want them.

Hi to everybody
In fact it's easier to use the classical "photographic tripod" (I hope that the word be exact! i am italian...)
I use the Celestar 8 mount entirely for some specific observations, like the moon and the sun.
However, is not very uncomfortable to use.
it weighs little, as I am able to move it with facility while i stay sat. I use a very low chair.

The binoculars has fixed with a "screw", so i lose only a minute to fix it.
Is bad don't know a language well.
I want to be more precise but I don't know many words....:-(
