Hi Sarkikos, please send me a PM if you want to discuss about this issue, but as you can see issue is on your side not on our website. As you said before you can access website with your smartphone. So if you want to solve it you'd better contact your internet provider.

BTW is Sarkikos a greek name like Pegasus ?

Thanks

There seem to be two threads on this. I cannot access the website either - and I can access all others. Win 11 and Edge. There's nothing wrong with my setup.

I share this new shot of Jupiter done with the Astrowl Box with one of its users.

What's interesting here, it is not to try to compete with incredible planetary pictures done by many astro amateurs after several hours of post processing, but to show that it is possible with a highly portable EAA setup, in realtime to also get interesting details (hard to catch behind an eyepiece) on planetary and not only on DSO.

What aperture, f number and type of telescope was used with the Astrowl Box?

Mike

Mike

He used a Skywatcher Newton 200/1000 + Barlow 2X to get F/D 10

I still cannot access your website.  I do not have any trouble with any of the hundreds of other websites I visit.  Hundreds of other websites.  How can it be a problem on my side?

Well, I asked my daughter to access the website on her computer - even older than mine - in the same house.  She can access the website.  So, I guess the problem is on my side.  I have no idea why.

A new release of the box internal software is available for download.

You can download it from following link : https://www.astrowlbox.com/download

Improvements are the following :
- Improvements of rejection frames filters available from stack mode (really useful for planetary),
- Performance improvements of some automatic image processing algorithm,
- Improvements of urban filter to cancel gradient and light pollution

Another great shot (NGC4565) from Astrowl Box user. Done with the box V3 (IMX283).

New functionnalities are also under developpment and will be in the next software update, to give access to more advanced settings like fine tuning stretch (Astrowl Box use Generalised Hyperbolic Stretch which is really powerful) color balance, selective brightness, Dark frame.

Does this device work on a steady (non-tracking) telescope ?

Hi Skysurfer, no you need a tracking, because it adds several images of the same target to increase details and luminosity. Even if the internal software auto align this several images together, to compensate small misalignment due to tracking error, it cannot compensate big misalignment. However you could use it for very big fov without tracking, that's what I do with a fast and large photo lens.
