I just installed the GraXpert 2.2.0 (Windows version running on Win10) and tried to

stretch and process a recent M42 image that was successfully processed by version 2.02.

GraXpert 2.2.0 gives an error when trying to save the stretched and processed image.

Anyone else experienced this?

Dear Rick,

we have fixed this issue in our code base. The fix will be part of GraXpert 2.2.1 as soon as we release it.

Best regards and CS

David

Hi Chris,

Did you ever find a solution or cause for your grayscale issue, I have the same problem

Cheers,

Tim

Ive installed it, run it standalone, executed a background extraction, looks very good.

However, the saved images are all Grayscale and not RGB. I have tried 16 and 32 bit Tiff/Fits and Xisf, all have the same problem.

Please advise.

Thank you, and that would be very exciting.   !!

Is Graxpert compatible with Windows 11?  The installer fails so I'm assuming it is not.

Worked okay for me on W11. I'm using Graxpert 2.2.2 (latest available).

Hi, the script to run GraXpert from PixInsight has stopped working for me this afternoon, after working perfectly to start with for some time. I'm getting the following error:

"*** Error: Signature verification failed for 'GraXpert': Invalid code signature: C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/Toolbox/Graxpert.js"

PI Version: 1.8.9-2

Build: 1579

Any ideas as to how to fix? Many thanks!

Hi ArEnJee,

the latest PixInsight release 1.8.9-2 / Build 1597 apparently raised issues wrt. code signing of some scripts in the PI Toolbox. Jürgen published a new Toolbox release yesterday which should solve these issues.

Hi David,

Many thanks for the reply. I have installed the latest version, but that doesn't seem to have worked. I have removed everything including the script under the PI script folder, reset (removed) alll repository info, re-added and applied all updates, but I get the same issue

Best regards

Roland

Hello

There is a new script to use GraXpert in Pixinsight :

https://www.deepskyforge.com/

This is working fine and got more options than the Toolbox one.

I only use this one now.

You need also to have updated PIXINSIGHT to latest 1597 version.

Cheers

I have Graxpert running, it installed great on my Windows computer.

But my problem is in Pixinsight when I use it, it saves the new image into a Temp directory.

I didn't notice it the first time, and when I went back later I thought all of my work had disappeared. Until I ran it again, and found that it was Graxpert that changed the working directory to the Temp directory. It's a bit of a pain, because I then have to direct it back to my working directory that I was using for my Astro image, or else all of my subsequent edits I save get saved also in the Temp directory instead of where I was working.

Anyway to get it to not change the working directory and to stay where the image started?

Reviving this old thread. I have installed Graxpert 3.0.2 and Pixinsight 1.8.9-2 on a MacBook Pro M1Max with 64Gb of ram. When I run the Graxpert background correction script I get the following error

The file model.onnx isn't where it should be. Curiously the noise reduction script works fine.

New PixInsight Process featured in official GraXpert 3.0 video (https://www.youtube....h?v=ZDqvIn5Vnig) solve this issue.

All information on process available here: https://www.deepskyf....com/index.html

You need PixInsight version 1.8.9-2 build 1597 or higher installed.

Check for updates in PixInsight check only scripts and process, not PixInsight version itself.

For PixInsight, you have to go to https://pixinsight.com/dist/index.html, download/intall last version.

GraXpert Process cancel and replace GraXpert All-In-One and GraXpert Suite scripts also mentionned in this thread.

If you use them, please move to the process and uninstall scripts

- menu SCRIPT > Feature script,

- uncheck the scripts and click Done.

Remove URL from Manage repositories.

Script in Toolbox will continue.

If you have any issue with process, let me know, I'm the developper...

Support is provided here: https://github.com/D...xInsight/issues

When you upgrade GraXpert from version 2.x to 3.x they try to rename BGE AI model but it fail in some cases and you come to this know issue whatever you use GraXpert Application, GraXpert script or process.

To fix it follow indications here: https://github.com/D...ment-2075829780

This problem do not impact Denoising which actually use another AI model.

I hope this help...

Good Morning from Australia,

Can someone please help me? I have been trying to install GraXpert for a few days. Every time I try I get the same error message. I have attached the error message that I keep getting. I read some of the other replies & have uninstalled AVG to see if that helps & it did not. My PC is older, but has Windows 10. If anyone can assist please, I would be very grateful. Take Care & have a Lovely Day.
