A total of 10h 40m were taken over 7 nights between Dec 2021 and Apr 2022 using an ES ED102 triplet and ASI533MC-Pro with an L-eXtreme dual band filter and a CEM60 mount.  Processed with APP as an HOO image after  separating Ha and OIII.

 

I had planned on collecting more data, but poor weather prevented it.

 

I’d appreciate any comments.

It is a good image. The nebula is sharp and shows a lot of detail. You have a lot of O3 in the data. The stars are not to my taste, a bit disk like. This may of course be my personal taste. The background is virtually free from noise. With a small amount of noise left in the image it looks more natural. Just for information, not trying to make it a competition here is my M1 aligned to yours to point out the difference in the stars. As you can see my data is lacking the O3 data. It is an unfiltered OSC combined with Ha from a mono camera.

I agree my stars are too flat, I like yours better. I think I  applied too much sharpening.

Wonderful image Dave. Lovely detail and star color. It might be a tad over sharpened. If you turn your monitor up you can see the evidence of some ringing on the stars.

Yes, if I zoom in I can see  it is somewhat over sharpened.  Thanks for pointing it out.  Something to bear in mind.
