After a long time writing every local institution i could to solve the new street led light which is so strong it looks like it was daylight, and causing sleeping problems and i could not completely shield my windows to solve that, a local politician in charge called me saying that it will be solved in a few weeks. The day after i write him, i should have started from there. They will replace the new led for an old sodium one, just the one near my house. Unfortunately not for the reasons i would like to be. He said to me that the leds they are replacing are cheaper but they don't last long. Whatever. I wish a future where i don't need to hide my astronomic intentions to avoid eventually to abort the operation "take that led out of here". I take this help with the mouth shut and save the light pollution conversation with them to another time...

Are your light poles concrete? I've never seen a pole like that.

Oohhh this concrete poles are ooooold, too old. I live in a small rural area where the time flow in slow motion. Even the led was a recent chenge. That's why I chose it to live eheheh I wonder if I'm putting too much trust in a politician though. Will see. He said a few weeks...

UPDATE 1 month after:

After waiting, today i received a call from the politician:

"I'm near the Street Led"

Yay!

I went outside and we were waiting for the electrician team to change the LED for an older one. At that moment the A-Team to me.

While we're waiting, for the sake of dialoguing, i said apart from the sleeping reason i would benefit of the darkness to watch the sky through my telescopes.

"Telescopes?" he asked.

-"Yes, i work with huge telescopes to watch the sky, i need darkness to work"

-"Oh. Cool. If you want i may say to the guys to TAKE OFF THAT LED LIGHT FOREVER, it will not hurt any traffic.

-"YES, YES, PLEASE, that will help me a lot!!"

-The guys arrived: "What's up?"

-"Can you take the LED off instead of changing it?"

-"No problem, you're the boss"

Me inside: "WOW!! My lucky day!!"

So i knocked on many doors with frustrating responses but this door opened to me just because i had luck to talk with a good guy that works closer to the citizens.

Congratulations! whee.gif

Never thought I'd hear of such a thing in the real waking world. Maybe there is hope after all? Just a little bit?
