Hello fellow CN'ers.
We are pleased to announce a new hosting facility about to be completed in Australia at Swan Reach, South Australia (35 degrees south latitude).
The site is located within the River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve where the skies are a pristine 21.9. Our site in fact has skies of 21.98 every moonless night.
Seeing is also very stable most nights with averages of 1.4"-1.8". We are on a flat plain with prevailing winds coming from the south of the continent which allows laminar flows off the ocean some 140km away.
Over the last 10 months we have observed the night sky with an Allsky camera and found that a percentage of around 82% nights are clear or mostly clear. There is also very little moisture to produce dew or fog.
We anticipate that the hosting shed will be available at the end of June to accept clients after bug testing and completion of facilities.
If you are interested in having your equipment hosted in the Southern Hemisphere in dark and still skies please contact us on SwanReach5354@gmail.com for terms and conditions.
I have also left some images of the site for your interest. We are located on a 200 acre property well away from anyone.
