Long story short I had terrible tracking and some surprise clouds. But here is what I was able to salvage. It is about 45 minutes down to 2 seconds. I can't wait to try this again... but with better tracking.

That came out great Dan!  When I first started doing animations I simply sat at the scope and put a sticky page pointer on the computer screen on a feature on the sun and just made adjustments as the feature would drift with my hand controller to keep it at the tip of the pointer.  Now using Firecapture it has the reticle you can place over the image and finally with the Hinode Guider I basically sit and watch what unfolds on the screen.

Looks good! How does the terrible tracking manifest itself? -chris

I apparently had bad polar alignment. The Sun quickly moved out of the frame. I tried to do a daytime polar alignment as Astro-Physics describes. Well, I apparently didn't do a good job and I think I made things worse.
