Has anyone added a dew heater ring to an SCT with a flexible Dew shield?

I have a flexible Astrozap dew shield on my Celestron Evolution 8.

I now wish to add a Celestron 8" dew heater ring.

Other than having to add another knotch opposite the dove tail cut out - is that all that is needed to clear the wiring cable management clip?

I used that same setup until they finally released the aluminum dew shield, and it worked perfectly. The Heated Ring has a fairly specific orientation for the cables, and it is very close to the dovetail, so I used the dovetail cutout for my wires.
