You need an front end ERF and I would also use a full cutoff UV-IR cut filter like the Baader either between my eyepiece and the prom filter or between the prom filter and the objective. You will also need a telecentric before the prom filter and have the system running at around F30.

Also, the four little doo-dads are occulting disks of different sizes for use when the solar distance varies throughout the year. The block the suns disk, all but the chromospheric limb.

They don't look identical to me. The size of photos make it tough to compare but the mount tube clamps are different.

good catch. the 10te has the early one retaining bolt solid clamshell mount. my 1962 has the open cage so that catalogue photo is taken before 1962 but after they went with a sliding drawtube.

My catalog shows the tube clamps to be similar.

is that a canadian catalogue also? very cool. it has a 1000mm 7te so later than mine.

Not long after posting that I happen to run across a 10TE (wasn't researching), with a tube clamp that matched the pictured 15E. Like Chip said, catalogs are not always an accurate guide of what's actually offered.
