Maybe it's just me but the base of the southernmost section of the huge filaprom reminds me of the F5 tornado from the movie Twister!  45 minutes in real time and sped up a lot to show the motion.  Inverted.  Lunt LS60T DS, ASI174MM, Meade 3X Tele-extender.

   Incredible work! I've been wondering how this filament would look when it got to the limb. I don't own an H-Alpha rig of any kind, so I appreciate your sharing this more than you know. Many thanks!

Superb capture - of what is the most stunning filaprom I think I’ve ever watched on its journey from the surface to the limb. Still lots of life in this one too.

Adding the animation in normal mode that I did an hour prior to the original animation posted here.  Not as dramatic as the inverted version, this one is one hour in real time and does have some nice activity in and around the main prom.  The rotation is not as obvious.
