Tried a new target last night, IC 5146, The Cocoon Nebula, distance 3,262 light years away.
It’s still very low on the horizon, so, had to deal with a lot of atmospheric dispersion, but what came out surprised me.
I knew I would need more photons to bring it out, so, I bumped my usual 5 second exposures up to 10 seconds.
Thanks to its location, my stars didn’t elongate too much.
