Not exactly. I had the Kenko Go-Scope (60x540) that was built like a tank, and had an excellent lens. Classic Carton is reliable; but, in the lens pic I see cement failing between the elements.
Auction Closed... Did you get it?

Yes. I also saw the lens pic, not real encouraging but it was so unusual I couldn't resist. I can only hope it's repairable and I surely will be asking for advice when it arrives. Probably not much chance of replacing it with those specs.

Shipping on this is 29,000 something Yen using their EMS shipping, UPS is 18,000 Yen. Anyone with experience with them know why I should use the more expensive option? Seems rather high either way since it only cost 4,000 Yen to begin with.

EMS is a disaster right now due to US customs backlogs. Go with UPS.

It came missing parts. The sun projection screen, the barlow and whatever that little blue jewelry box looking thing was.
I'm not sure whether to inquire about it or if it would do any good, but it's a little annoying. The lens is a air spaced doublet that looks fine as far as I can tell with the foil spacers looking to be in good order and spaced correctly, however the lenses seem to be loose as they rattle when it's tipped over.
The focuser needs to be taken apart, cleaned and regreased. The push pull tube has a compression ring to hold it in place.

Also I need to figure out what to mount this on.

I took it out for a bit of terrestrial viewing and so far am quite happy with the results. That 22mm Ramsden gave very nice sharp views and the 12.5 also came to a nice sharp focus although of course dimmer. I had to put the diagonal in and set it on my lap as it has no mount yet and it's pretty darned heavy, too heavy to just hold up and look through.
Looks like most of the work I need to do is on the case, very stained, the inside styrofoam is in bad shape and it has a bunch of it stuck to the bottom of the outside, weird. I'm going to get the zippers sewn back on properly.

There doesn't seem to be many (or any) of these around, can anyone guess the age of this? Halley's Comet era?
