eBay # 230047164110
It's an old Edmunds Mirror grinding kit with what looks like two 6" blanks, pitch, the whole nine yards. I was curious until the bidding started to get serious...
Could this old kit still be used to fashion a workable instrument?
Clear dark skies...

Hi Mike.
That kit should still be able to make a good mirror.
The abrasives don't go bad.
Just have some terpentine on hand, if the pitch needs softening.
If there's no sign of cross-contamination of abrasives, it should work out.
Brings back some fond memories of my 8" Edmund mirror kit. Made in the mid '70s...

Hi Mike,
If the blank is 1 inch pyrex, it should make a fine mirror.
Back in 1971 I turned out a beautiful f/6, using the same kit
