My telescope does not turn on. I have tried using the cable, regular batteries and a car battery (all of which did not work.) The red light on the telescope does not turn on and no power appears to flow through. Because of this, I am unable to use the GPS of the telescope to find stuff. The telescope still works manually, but it would be very useful to be able to use the GPS. Does anybody know a fix to this problem?

Thanks in advance.

First thing to check is the main fuse.

Can you post a pic of the front panel?

The LX200GPS does not have a fuse. Here is part of the schematic for the main board showing the power input. The first thing to check is the plug on the front panel The center pin is split so you can carefully spread it apart a bit so it it making good contact with the plug that is inserted in it. Next check the switch that is it working by measuring the continuity across it. If those are working then look at the output of the LM2932 voltage regulator since it  should have 12 volts going in and +5 coming out. The +5 volts powers the electronic including the LED.
